I started at 4 weeks pp, I’m 9 moths pp now and scar is hardly noticeable in mar opinion. I used the Frida mom brand
They’re best for hypertrophic and Keloid scars x I have a hypertrophic one and started using 8 weeks pp. nearly 5 months pp and the redness has gone down a lot and it’s flattened it slightly too x
I wanted to but was told by nurses it needs to breathe. Mine kept getting infected and took 6 months to heal but 9m pp it's feeling normal again.
@Misha I’m so sorry! What kind of sealing/ stitches did they use? My dr used the clear medical glue and scar was sealed completely after 2.5 weeks.
@Kiki I have a connective tissue disease that affects the way my skin heals so they needed to use silk sutures to ensure my skin didn't reopen but it reopened around them anyway.🤦🏽♀️
@Misha oh no! I’m so sorry😭
The nurse said not to use until fully healed. My scars healed completely fine, I wish I never bought them!
@Kiki it's okay I was expecting it to not go smoothly lol. It's healed fully now though. I use moisturizer on the scar to help soften it. I was told it could help the appearance. Those silicone scar patches are great for kyloid scars I believe.
I probs used around 4-6 months. Definitely worked, scar isn't noticeable and keloid gone
@Chaniqua which brand did you use?
This one. https://alivercosmetics.com/products/aliver-silicone-scar-removal-treatment-sheets-4pcs?variant=39438393540793&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw3NyxBhBmEiwAyofDYWjS8-22nXHLo1W8nlp6AZV9HsX5HhEoefaeglYhvnJmMBV-x3hOFRoC4DkQAvD_BwE
My doctor put on this $800 silicon tape right after she finishes closing me up. I left it in for 3weeks and went in for her to remove it. It worked great. She swears by it. She uses it in all of her c sections.
I asked the doctor on my 8 weeks pp visit just to be sure. I knew my scar was healed ages before but I just wanted to be sure x
I wanted to, but when I asked my nurses told me not to use them. Better to let it breath naturally My scar looks like a big paper cut, 6weeks PP, in a good clean thing way.
