@Redss nexplanon birth control (one that goes in arm) x
Ohh thats the one in the arm . I never had that one. But take some pain meds shortly before so you aren’t in much pain. As far as the nerves, distract yourself in ways that comfort you, music always soothes me see if that helps you as well , I even have a meditation/sleeping app that plays some soothing sounds . I also played a favorite movie of mine and had it in one ear bud , while the appointment was going on that way, like I stated in between time, it was something to distract me and keep me calm because I was listening to my favorite thing
I had one removed a couple years ago it didn’t hurt at all to get removed i just looked the other way and told her to go for it, i do still have a little scar from it though x
I had the one in the arm and ended up taking it out myself because I made me really ill and my doctor surgery stopped doing it 😅 it was fine.. It's like a big splinter just under the skin so comes out very easy. The body takes a little while to get back to normal x
Just don’t look at it for sure, I have had 3 removed it stings after but while it happens it’s all good, I keep the chat really lighthearted and joking as I find laughing calms me down a fair amount 😅
i was sooo scared to get mine removed, but the removal hurt way less than getting it in. it just was a bit sore and bruised for a few days, but nothing bad. my mantra when i’m scared over things like that is “pain is temporary” you’ll be okay! :)
What kind of implant? Like a Birth control one ? Is it a IUD?
