We do diapers for sleep. Everything else including car rides and going out is underwear to limit confusion.

We use nappies only for sleep & a puppy pad in the pram & car seat. She wasn't telling us when she needed a wee so I've started just putting her on the potty at likely intervals. If there's no wee after a minute we let her back off. Haven't had any accidents since we started just putting her on the potty couple of days ago.

How and when did you guys do nighttime training?

We only use a diaper or pull up for nap time and bedtime and every other time he’s either wearing underwear or he’s commando with pants on.

@Nikia haven’t done this yet but advice here tends to be when they have a month of waking up with a dry nappy.

You can’t train nighttime dryness it’s hormonal. Get yourself a portable potty for outside journeys. We always make her go before we leave ask again before she gets in the car then again when we are out. But she’s mostly quite good and always tells us. I’d do knickers indoors tho get her used to them x

Nappies/diapers only for sleeping. You can take them away once she’s consistently dry.

You train day time and stick with nappies for nighttime until they are consistently dry as you can’t train that.

This sounds a bit like what my daughter did, so I would put her pants on and then a nappy on top so she could feel she was wet still, but it wasnt really working. In the end I started putting the nappy on top of her trousers incase, so it didn’t get on the car seat. She would only really ever have accidents in the car. After a couple of months she stopped having as many accidents and it got to a point where I stopped using them! She loves being naked so spends most of her time at home with no pants on tbh, she wears a nappy at nap time but is usually dry, nursery don’t put her in one for her nap. For bed she still wears one as she does wee quite a lot in the night
