Crawling differently/strangely before standing?

My daughter over the past few days, and more so today after a day at nursery where there are older babies already walking, has started crawling less on her knees but trying to launch a flat foot forward almost like she’s trying to crawl with her hands and on her feet. She’s doing a lot of downward dogs and trying so hard to show off how she can stand unassisted for like 5 seconds haha. The crawling just looks a bit awkward like she’s injured but she’s laughing away and then crawls normally after attempting her weird looking feet crawl! I feel like I’ve rambled and not explained anything clearly, but just wondering if anyone’s child did the same before they started bringing themselves to standing? Thanks!

I've seen this. She's just planning on walking soon it's not weird xx

I've noticed my lo does this when she's wearing a dress and it's slowing her crawling down 🤦🏼‍♀️ but she's also close to walking so it could be a mixture of both with her. 🤷🏼‍♀️ who knows, they keep us guessing don't they 🤣 xx

My little boy used to bear crawl on hands and feet before he started walking! He went quite quickly like that 😂 he will still sometimes crawl like that if he doesn’t feel like walking!

My first did this for like 5-6 months before she started walking 😂😂 she was so frigging fast too haha

Mine does this if he wants to carry something in his hands and move

My little boy never seemed to master the 2 knees / 2 hands crawl. He has one knee down and then has one leg with a foot down! He is pretty quick and gets around fine but thought he would have progressed by now! Has his own style!
