Is this weird or am I paranoid?

When i took my toddler to the park about a week ago, a man kept trying to say hi to my toddler and smiling and kept turning back around to keep waving. Today I took my toddler to the same park and the same man tried to say hi again but this time there was another man with him. I kept walking with my toddler, but my toddler being a toddler, we were a bit slow. The man and his friend then walked past us 3 times in the space of like 2 minutes while looking at my toddler. So I quickly put my toddler in the pram and left. Idk, it was giving me stranger danger. Or am I just being paranoid? I don't mind people saying hi to my toddler when we're out but why did they have to walk past us 3 times while looking at us?

This defo sounds dodgy can’t lie

I would phone the police… sound so dodgy and it may help other people in the area

Trust your instincts as that sounds dodgy. Maybe ring the police and report it so they have it on file x

I definitely would have left too, I always scope the park to make sure there’s people around and no odd looking people 😅

Thanks everyone, when I mentioned it to my husband he said maybe it's just a man with a mental disability that likes saying hi to babies 🤷‍♀️ its a shame really because I've never felt unsafe there before and I usually just let my toddler wander about. It's usually full of mums and kids but today the weather was grey so there wasn't anyone there. Maybe next time I'll have to bring the reins

Please trust your instincts. Also... I would have recorded them just to be on a safe side. If you have any other mom friend who goes to the same park I would show the video/photo for them to be vigilant as well. Take care and stay safe.

It depends. If they talking with you or just hanging at the park, no it’s not weird. Most of the people that do this are women but you never know. If they aren’t social with you or your baby but are just watching then it’s creepy.
