@Aisha wonderful thank you - did you have any issues with the MAM bottles at all???x
@Aisha and also… are the teat sizes like for like? So if she’s on fast flow Tommee will she need fast flow MAM? Sorry for the questions xx
No worries, we had 0 problems with the mam bottles, the only thing I would say is don’t use a bottle warmer for them, as they have anti colic holes in the bottom they’ll suck up the water into the bottle and ruin the milk. We never followed the teat recommended, we just went with our gut, we used teat 2 for ages and when he wouldn’t finish his bottle cos it was slow we moved to the teat 3. I’d say just see how they get on with the teat that comes with the bottle and if it’s too slow then you can get the bigger teat online or from boots x
@Aisha my boy was exactly the same, £70 for the whole new tommee tippe set just to gave to go out and buy all new mam bottles🥲x
@India the things we do for these kids eh 😂 x
Thank you so much for your help - MAM it is. Going to get some tomorrow I think xx
Assuming you’ve both used the anti colic ones not the active ones??x
Man bottles are amazing when we were in hospital after I gave birth to my twins I tried so hard to get them to latch onto my boob and it just didn’t work and all the midwives on the ward said how much they prefer the mam bottles to tommee tippee ones, my partner is now recommending them to everyone he knows after seeing how well the boys took to them, they are also so much easier to clean than any other bottle as well because the bottoms come off, I’ve always liked mam bottles and knew when I was pregnant with the twins that they were what I wanted to use if the boys wouldn’t take to the boob x
My LO started choking on tommee tippee after a couple weeks so moved onto mam and bought separately teet that was size 0 because the 1 hole was too big for him. Haven’t looked back since (he’s 10 weeks now) & still using size 0. Size 1 still too fast for him https://amzn.eu/d/fJWMdRr
We use mam and it's great
Be careful how much you tighten the ring on the bottles. I've always found if you over tighten the ring even by a little bit the teats collapse. My daughter never took to mam so I stuck with tommee tippee we tend to use the variflow teats as baby can control that flow a little easier than the standard ones x
We initially spent so much money on getting the entire tommee tippee bottle set with sterilizer, prep machine, bottle warmer and once my son started taking bottles all they did was leak out of his mouth, we made the change a couple weeks in and moved to the MAM bottles and gave away the tommee tippee, he’s one this week and he’s done so great with them, we just sterilize in microwave and I’d recommend them to anyone who’ll listen 😂 funnily enough when he was on dummies the only one he’d take was the tommee tippee ones and hated the mam dummies 🤣
