Gender scans

Has anyone had a private gender scan after 20 weeks? I've had my 20 week scan this morning but baby was in an awkward position, facing towards my back so we couldn't see much apart from what needed checking/measuring. We had decided we wanted to know the gender this time round, so am thinking my only option may be to go for a private scan. I am due growth scans due to previous small baby but they aren't starting till about 30 weeks. Any experience of private scans after 20 weeks?

I've also had a private scan at 26w - very positive experience. And they measure and check everything again to make sure it's all good.

Yes, we did just to make sure we were told the right gender and so we could take my son and daughter with us. It was lovely!

I had the same situation during my 20th week scan. I am too planning to get a private scan done at around 30weeks.

Yeah it was awful

I got one done with window to the womb at 22 and 5. Mainly because my partner missed the 20 week scan. I didn't rate it for the cost tbh. I thought it would be this really nice experience that they take their time with. It was 5 minutes from us walking into the scan room to walking out.
