12 months down the line to be diagnosed with depression and anxiety due to how NHS professionals were when I raised my concerns and worries x
I wouldn't call mine resentment as such, but I definitely grieve for what should have happened. My birth was quite okay, but she came early and was sent to NICU. I came from the csection and they told me she was in another hospital. I wasn't allowed to see her until the day after, and that was only for 10 minutes. I went the day after, and they told me that if I saw her then, then I wouldn't be able to see her on Thursday. They operated Monday and Thursday visiting times only. Luckily, she was born on Sunday! Making the decision not to see her on that Tuesday, not knowing if she would even make it through the night haunts me still even though she is a healthy 7 month old. I have never felt so low in my life, and I still cry and try and process it. Sending love x
My baby came 5 weeks early and I get resentful and jealous towards pregnant moms who are complaining about being 40 weeks pregnant. Like STFU and enjoy the time you got to grow your baby. Your feelings are totally valid even if they feel irrational. I think eventually it'll pass! (I hope)

I wouldn’t say I had a nice birth experience but it wasn’t traumatic either. It was more of the fact that the midwives didn’t listen to me and sent my partner home who nearly missed the birth as my labour last 6 hours from the moment my waters broke to the moment my little girl was born. They didn’t listen when I told them I was having back to back contractions as the machine wasn’t picking them up and when I said I needed to push I was told that it’s too soon (they didn’t realise I was 10cm dilated as none checked). To be let home for one night with a prem baby the day after giving birth for the following day to be took back into hospital due to not feeding nor keeping her body temp at 36.6°C. To then be fighting with doctors for 5.5 months about my daughter having CMPA to end up in hospital with a different reason to be finally listened to and then it being a fight with doctors about others issues.
