First Baby at Frimley- Private Room?

Hi all, I’m scheduled for a c section at Frimley Park in 10 days. I’m quite keen to have a private room. Anybody know the process? A number of months ago I was told you have to spend the first night on the ward - is that true? Thanks, R

I had my first baby at Frimley in Dec 2023 and had to stay 1 night so I asked for a private room. It's first come first served so you can just ask if any are available when you're there. Think it cost £250 per night. Was totally worth it for me as i desperately needed some quiet and sleep xx

I gave birth at Frimley 2 weeks ago and requested a private side room which I was able to have.

@Keri hope you're recovering well and baby is doing well! 😊

I was there 3 weeks ago. It’s £220. You can ask when you get there.

My sister had a c section at frimley 4 weeks ago and spent 4-5 days in and she was on the ward the entire time. She was also hoping for a private room as her pregnancy was complicated and baby had to be continuously and closely monitored but she didn’t get it. She did struggle on the ward because you obvs have other’s with their babies (not a dig, babies will be babies aha!) but obvs they all keep eachother awake or set one another off….but the midwives were great and even took her little girl for several hours so my sister could get a few hours sleep. Private rooms are first come first served and £220 if you want to pay. X

@Keri did you request it on the day? How long were you there for?

@Hellen thanks. How long were you there for?

The private room I had was a side room on the postnatal ward - this wasn’t one which you paid for. I was there for 4 nights. I asked for it when I was moved from the labour ward.

Hey, so I asked About it last week and they said it’s all renovating so no private room for Some time . I am going to Frimley too but not sure I I will have the option of refurbishing is finished by end of March.
