For baby 👶🏼 - 3 or 4 sleepsuits - 3 or 4 vests - Going home outfit (if don’t want sleepsuit) - Hat - Scratch mitts & socks (if not on sleep suit) - Nappies (plenty) - Wipes or cotton - Blanket - Formula & bottles (if bottle feeding - those ready to go that come with teets are recommended) For mummy 🤰🏽 - Button front nightie (easier with catheter) - Button front pjs (if preferred when catheter removed) - Dressing gown - Slippers - Nursing bra (if breastfeeding) - High waisted knickers (I bought lots of disposable hospital style ones from amazon) - Maternity pads - Comfy going home outfit (loose or high waisted) - Wash bag: hairbrush, toothbrush , toothpaste etc. I took travel miniatures so it all fit in one bag - Peppermint tea (for gas) - long phone charger - SNACKS - Parecetemol - ibuprofen Feeding 🍼 Check with your hospital whether they provide formula or not. I breastfeed but saw that my hospital provided the formula to any mums bottle feeding.
Re Pain Relief I took my own paracetamol and ibuprofen… I didnt need to use it because the hospital were great at keeping me ahead with morphine, dehydracodeine and paracetamol… but I packed it just incase so I didn’t get behind if for any reason there was a delay in getting doses.!

What to pack: - long phone charger - feeding pillow (if you plan to breastfeed) - slippers for the shower - ease loose fitting clothing for going home Recovery tips: - as soon as the the anaesthetic has worn off get out of bed and walk Sooner you walker the better tbh - take a shower if you can; you feel much more fresher. - drink lots of water - peppermint tea to help go to the toilet
