What did everyone else do when giving birth to their 2nd child? We have no family nearby (min 6 hour drive) and I am so scared about having to give birth on my own because I have no one to look after my daughter - any advice welcome 😥

We’ve arranged for family to stay with us too, maybe ask them to come when you lose your mucus plug
I was in the same position I actually planned for a home birth but after getting to 43 weeks I ended up opting for a C Sectoon. Is a homebirth something you would consider? I completely understand if it isn’t,it was just the best option for me but obviously plans changed! My midwife even said she would have the other midwife look after my daughter (I wouldn’t ever of expected them to do this but it was a lovely offer). You can always ask some family members to be on standby or is it possible to even have someone stay with you just in case? I completely understand how you’re feeling! X
