potty training advice - help please!

started potty training out 3 year old this weekend and it’s not going well. we’ve taken away the nappies for the daytime and keep reminding her to sit on the potty when she needs a wee etc. had a few accidents as expected. however, despite the fact she has actually successfully used the potty a handful of times on separate occasions - and we’ve made such a happy deal out of it and she’s gotten so excited - she now seems terrified of the potty and has a full blown meltdown when we mention it or try get her on it. we’ve had two meltdowns today and it’s not even 10am. we’ve tried bribery like stickers on a sticker chart, new pants with her fave characters on them, to buy her something when she goes, a treat etc but she just won’t do it. any advice PLEASE :(

No advice, same here 😀 my boys just went on a day but 5his girl drives me nuts 🙈😀 she goes on clock at the nursery, but refuse to go at home 🤷‍♀️

@Santa mine refuses at nursery too i just don’t know what to do:(

Maybe not ready yet, this will pass and she will happily go 🤷‍♀️ I just find that i get very frustrated quickly trying to get her go, so I just have to relax and one day she will start 😀

My little girl had about 4 weeks of being amazing at using it, then all of a sudden hated the potty. So we got her a toilet seat insert from home bargains and she is much better on that, refuses to use the potty but is happy to use the toilet.

@Nikki we have the child seats on the toilets too but she refuses them as well

She might just not be ready yet! I’d give it a break for a few weeks/months and then try again. Nothing to be gained by forcing it if she doesn’t want to do it x
