I’ve set up the other seat I need to try my LB in it! He’s a really long baby so he’s now filling the bassinet!! I want to try it out but I’ve been nervous to do it just in case we’re not supposed to 🤷🏻♀️xx
This is the advice I found online.. 'Generally, you should switch your baby from a pram bassinet to a stroller seat when they are around 4-6 months old and can reliably hold their head up steadily, indicating good neck control; this is usually when they start showing signs of wanting to sit up and look around more actively.'
I was wondering the same as my baby is nearly filling the bassinet. He’s 3 months. Xx
I think depends on the brand too! We have a silver cross dune and the seat is able to lay flat and says suitable from birth! I have been worried about our little one being too cold though so I’ve started dangling toys or keeping the “roof” down and she finds that more exciting!
We've been using it since she was about 9 weeks but ours lays flat! Seems to enjoy it more and is also a lot more compact and easy
The pushchair section of prams are suitable from 6 months +
I’ve been using since about 11 weeks! He started hating lying down in the bassinet as he couldn’t see much! My pushchair (ocarro) has 3 reclining options so fully sat up, fully lying down and an in the middle. He’s been absolutely fine on the middle recline option, strapped in tightly he can’t lean forward and he’s not actually completely sat up, just lying down on an upwards incline if that makes sense. Hes sooo much happier! Try it and see! X
We use a stroller ever since baby was 3 weeks old as he hates the pram with bassinet. He loves his stroller. It is fully flat so it is suitable from birth. I personally consider a stroller easier to go outside and lighter than a pram with bassinet. However didn't think yet to move a seat higher. I'd say closer to 6 months
I just did this today and my little one loved it she’s 3 months and she is just so nosey was sad to leave the bassinet as now I have a big girl but she LOVES it !
They say from 3 months depending on there head control but you can lean the seat back so not upright and then 4/5 months is average age x
Mh little one is has nearly grown out of the bassinet of our pram but seems too small for the pushchair part. When I put a padded coat on him he doesn’t fit with ways! 🤦🏼♀️
I have also been wondering this, my little one has also started to hate the pram but not sure if he’s too little for the seat he’s 3 months!
