Hello! Just to add to the above comment, at 20 weeks they do an extra scan to check that the blood flow through the placenta and cord is good. I had this and mine has a notch in which is an effect of the Low PAPP-A and so I have extra scans from 28 weeks every 2 weeks. Try not to stress (I know I definitely did) because they know what they’re doing and can keep a better eye on you from now on. Most low PAPP-A pregnancy end in a normal pregnancy, birth and baby! Each area does handle it differently though so not everyone has the same timeline of events. I’ve been told to take aspirin until I am in labour, I know some people got the extra scan at 22 weeks etc etc
Not a huge amount at this point. You have a slightly higher risk of smaller baby, pre term labour, preeclampsia but ultimately the risk is still small and lots of low Papp-a woman just have normal size healthy babies. You have some extra scans so they can keep an eye on growth and then if the baby shows signs of slowing down they will monitor as they go :)
