What is trained

My son's been waking up and instantly using his potty (I've placed one next to his bed) and has started taking it to the toilet and emptying it himself bless him. His overnight nappy is getting less full slowly. Are we heading into the overnight dryness stage? He only started the daytime potty training journey 2 weeks ago but he's 3 years 5 months old. During the day we have between 0-3 accidents so put a nappy over his pants when we go out in the pram/car/carrier. At what stage do we say he's trained?

We started my lil girl new years day (2 and half) and id say now shes fully trained in the day. We’ve never used pull up over clothes when going out so maybe start by stopping that. She has zero accidents now and takes herself to the toilet. Just need to battle night time but not too worried about that yet x

@Yaz what do you do if they wee in the carseat? His accidents aren't a little trickle he fully lets it release. I can't be confident that he'll be dry all day at home nevermind out and about so I know he's not fully trained yet

Sorry for late reply. My lg hasnt yet had an accident in the car so haven’t experienced that yet but i always make sure she wees before we go in the car. I have a pad thing in the seat called koodi that should stop the car seat getting wet. You could maybe try a pullup over is trousers and pants so hes still going to feel wet? Or if you do want to still use pull up for the car, as soon as you arrive anywhere take it off and put pants on. I recommend a carry potty too to stay in the car so if he says he needs a wee you could pull over if safe to do so and get him to go in there xx
