Separation anxiety?

My daughter is 5 months old on Thursday and as of yesterday, she hasn't let me put her down to do anything. I can't even get myself something to eat without her sobbing until she can't catch her breath. For context, my kitchen and living room are the same room, she can still see and hear me. I've tried talking to her, distracting her with a toy/TV and giving her a dummy but nothing works except sitting her in my lap. I've had to result to carrying her to the toilet with me all day. Is anyone else's little ones like this?

It’s a phase that happens, they start to realise you are a separate person and can leave her, they gain an awareness of object permanence x

Yeah sometimes she wakes up and just has an emotional day as we call it. Just sling em in a baby carrier and carry on as usual - can always take them off when they nap if you want some time not being attached together and then put them back on when they wake x

Yes! My little girl was 5 months last week and she started showing signs of separation anxiety, for her it’s that she gets red and sweaty hands and feet if I’m not nearby / giving her attention. Other times she gets more obviously upset. Definitely a new thing
