Leaving breastfed baby

At what age did you leave you breastfed baby alone with someone else? He is exclusively breastfed and me and my boyfriend want to go away for our birthdays in april he will be 7 months by then. Im nervous about this as he will only take fresh pumped breast milk (up to 4 days in fridge) no frozen milk and havent ever tried formula. How did it go when you left them and how did you go about the feeds?

I left my daughter on Friday for the first time I just pumped loads of milk and she had bottles! X

@Eloise how long were you away for i have done an evening before to go on dates hes currently 5 months but me and my partner want to go away for a weekend and not sure if it will be ok as hes breastfed x

I didn’t leave my EBF baby til she was 13 months but she absolutely refused bottles. And was super clingy with me in general. It was super hard at first leaving her with anyone else, had to get her used to drinking from a sippy cup and willing to accept it and she was on solids. She got used to staying with her dad first then daycare. But it’ll be different in your case….is your milk high lipase and tastes soapy when frozen? I’d just ensure you will be back before 4 days and try leaving him for a shorter time, like an afternoon with the person who will be caring for him prior to leaving for an overnight or longer trip.

Had my daughter in august. Went away in October for a wedding. (2 nights) best thing is to get them on bottles x

@Mariah yes it is high in lipase he absolutely refuses frozen milk i have done a couple hours and will obviously build it up before we go (if we go) but i dont want him to refuse me once i come back

@Sophie-Jayne as in formula? i know it would benefit in a way but i enjoy the connection breastfeeding gives us and the bond it creates so dont want to give up just for me and my partner to have space i would rather know feed my baby whilst i can and save abit of money x

As in pumping and using bottles x
