Best Hacks!

Hey mamas! Looking for your best hacks for managing the 2ish year age gap! My second is due on my 1sts birthday and I want to make the transition as smooth as possible! Some of the things we already plan on doing are: •A ridiculous amount of meal prepping •Diaper change spaces around the house to avoid going to the nursery a thousand times a day Any advice is really appreciated!

We got a couple fun toys to give to my oldest after we brought baby home. So she had a fun little surprise and has some new toys to play with when I was busy with baby! Toy rotation was also super helpful for us, having some toys we knew she liked that weren’t always out, so we could pull them out when I needed to tend to baby and I would know toddler is content. Also involving your toddler as much as possible with baby! They love to help and it makes them feel important and included!

I liked trying to time babies naps with my toddlers mealtimes, so I could still have some one on one time with my toddler. She likes coloring in the high chair when I needed her to be contained too.

Teach big sibling to bring you things before baby is born, start with big toys, then move to baby things. My son could bring me wipes, diapers, binkies, blankets, etc and it was so helpful. Also when they're a bit older and entering the helpful phase teach them to throw diapers away

My best buy this time around is a tall baby chair I can put the newborn in where he is safe from my toddler climbing on him or throwing toys at him 😂😂 I bought a secondhand one that goes up to table/worktop height and don’t know what I’d do without it! It’s been amazing when I’m cooking or giving dinner and lunch to my toddler, as baby can join us at the table.
