Terrible feeling

I can't stop crying about hyperemesis yesterday I went for iv fluids. I'm jealous of people who can eat normally. I'm so depressed 😔

I felt exactly the same, it was a really dark time of my pregnancy. You are not alone. I’m 28 weeks now and although not back to my normal self, defo a lot better then I was xxx

So normal to feel like that. I can really recommend this charity for advice, peer support and counselling. Had all of that from them and it carried me through an otherwise pretty tough time. https://pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk

I understand you. Sending you a big hug! I would really use the peer support that Eva shared with you. I wish I had known about it during my pregnancy. It really is depressing, isolating and frustrating. We’re here for you though! 🫂

I'm 39 weeks today and I can honestly tell you that it does get better...Xonvea was the medicine that was a lifesaver for me and omeprazole and camomile tea helped with the heartburn. Don't push yourself though, I remember that the first trimester o was bed-bound due to this. Even if all you manage to eat is a slice of toast, eat it. If you do throw up afterwards it's fine, some nutrients stay in your body. I remember that the only things I could manage to eat/drink were caffeine free Pepsi max and icecream/icelollies! At some point I became able to eat toast with honey, then rice and then it got better. Avoid acidic foods such as citrus and tomatoes is you can, they trigger stomach acids and try and drink sport drinks (non fizzy) for hydration. Been through it twice, it's always hard but you do learn what's a triggering food and what's not eventually x
