“Trying to Open Up and Find My People”

Hello ladies! 👋 I’m new to this whole posting thing and still figuring out how to navigate this app (and life, honestly 😅). I’ll admit, I’m a pretty closed-off person. Over the years, I’ve been hurt and betrayed by people I loved deeply—even my own mother. Because of that, I’ve built walls to protect myself, and it’s made it really hard to trust people or form genuine connections. Right now, I can honestly say I have one good friend besides her. I’ve always struggled to find a tribe of women who truly understand and support me. Sometimes, I feel like other women see me as a threat or assume I’m after their relationships, which couldn’t be further from the truth. I deeply respect other people’s relationships and would never cross that line. But I hate that this perception keeps me from forming the kind of friendships I crave. I’m here because I want to open up more and find a community of women who lift each other up. I want to be part of a tribe where we can be real, support one another, and celebrate each other’s wins without judgment or competition. If you’ve ever felt the same way or have advice on how to build trust and genuine friendships, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s chat, share stories, and maybe even help each other grow. 💕 Thanks for reading this far. Here’s to hoping I can find my tribe. 🌸

Hi Tania, I feel the same! Shame we're so far away but let's chat when you have time x

I wish we lived closer :(

Hey im right there with you i feel like no one gets me

Same here i find it very hard to trust and when ive tried to make friends either they become 2 faced or it ends up been after years you relise your the one who makes all effort

When I finished reading the first part of your post I asked myself how you knew me, cause holy moly I'm the same including the mom part. I have my bestie who unfortunately lives in another state and a few local friends but no one I feel comfortable enough with to call or text to build that bestie relationship closer to me 🤷🏻‍♀️.
