@Serena agreed! I definitely think getting a sturdy safe crib/smaller playpen is the first step! That way I know there is a safe place to put him where he can’t hurt himself!
I 100% agree my daughter likes to bump her head against things we've been thru 3 different play pens/cribs until we found one she can't hurt herself on

Yes the second one is the one we ended up with and it's great, we have little handles you can buy separately to promote them trying to stand up and to hold onto for balance as well
I have a big play yard. My 10mo fell through the zipper, it was like a false zip. But i zipped it up and then sewed it close. Added the pull up rings, a ball pit with the extra blocks on them and he hasn’t had any issues or has gotten hurt. His development shot through the roof without us having to teach him to do things.
