What is this appointment?

I’m 11 weeks pregnant, and I’ve had a text with an ‘obstetrics appointment’ at the hospital for when I’ll be 14 weeks pregnant. No further info. I am midwife and consultant led due to twins so my only guess is a consultants appointment? But I’ve had no indication as to when or how often I’d be seeing a consultant. I know it’s not my scan or a midwife appoint due to the location at ‘women’s outpatients’. Does anyone know what this is?

It may be to discuss your 12 week scan, this is typically what happened with me. Every scan I had an Obstetricians appointment straight after to discuss the scan and also do normal obvs BP, urine, carbon monoxide etc

Thank you, that makes sense!

Itl be consultants I think .x

I had midwife and consultant led due to high risk. My consultant appointments were usually to monitor risk factors, discuss weight loss or gain during pregnancy and things like that, they never used to last long but my hospital always tried to book them for the same time as scans to save multiple trips x
