Make sure you have someone in your circle that is a really good listener. Whenever I was feeling really stuck I would make myself call someone I knew wouldn't judge me. Forcing myself to make those phone calls really sucked at the time but after finishing the phone call I was always able to move forward with what needed to be done. Also making yourself leave the house even if it's just to take a 5 min drive while listening to music. Talking to your doctor about other solutions is always good but those are just a couple things I would do to get some quick relief. I had pretty bad ppd with my first. It can be really hard and I'm sorry you're going through it. Try your best to keep your head up and don't isolate yourself ❤️

I reached out to my obgyn and she gave me resources in-network so my insurance would cover the help. Now I have regular therapy sessions by video visit that are easier to attend. I also just read yesterday that some CVS locations now offer ppd support (https://www.cvs.com/content/postpartum-support). I have used BetterHelp for therapy in the past and found it helpful.

There may be some local parent groups that can be a supportive group to talk to and connect with. In my area a local postpartum doula agency and birth educators holds a virtual nurturing circle for parents each week via Zoom. It’s no cost and open to the community.
