How many syringes of colostrum do we need?

I’ve managed to fill up the 6 syringes my midwife gave me, but wondering if I should ask for more or if 6 will be enough and it will just be overkill?

Go mama! I collected a lot before labour (I expressed and collected about 55ml) I didn’t take any into the hospital or need to use them straight away. That being said it can be great to keep collecting and you obviously don’t have to take them all into hospital/ask your partner to bring some more if needed. I used it instead for their baths, dry skin & when they were sick. You can always ask for more and keep collecting for such occasions and to help with dilation/labour. Babies don’t need that much in the first few days until your milk comes in ❤️

That’s amazing! I bought a pack of 20 from Amazon for about a fiver - would recommend if your next appointment isn’t for a while xx

As many as you want it stays good in the freezer for up to 12 months and it’s incredible for things like conjunctivitis, eczema , baby acne or even a little dose when baby is poorly to give them an immunity boost xxxx
