Sore butt cheek muscles🙈

37 weeks tomorrow…is anyone else experiencing aching hips/butt cheeks from lying on each side trying to sleep? It’s one of the many things waking me up😵‍💫 Any suggestions to minimise it?🙈

It didn’t get any better till I gave birth and was able to tummy sleep again. The only thing that helped a little was some Tylenol before bed and a heating pad. A little soothing and pain relief at least I could sleep.

Thanks girl, will pick up some heating pads and give them a wee go🥳

Aww I am in the same boat. My poor hips and legs can't take the strain! 😩 I toss and turn endlessly at night and even tossing and turning feels like a breathless marathon (I'm like an upside down turtle) 🐢. I think I might try some painkillers before bed as this has helped in the past.

Have you tried putting a firm pillow between your knees & feet? I found that helped me a bit

THIS! My pregnancy pillow just isn’t doing it for me anymore either. The other night I was trying to readjust myself and turn to my right side ended up giving myself cramp in my left leg in the process 😣 I’m 35 + 3 days

Get a tennis ball or similar and gently massage the area. It’s horrible but this has really helped me! It’s all linked to PGP/sciatica but I also bloody hope it disappears after birth.

I had to lay an extra duvet on my side of the bed before laying down. It did help a little but I still have to change sides from time to time. It hurts terribly.

I have PGP and I did a pelvic health class and the dr doing the class explained that pregnancy pillows are not supportive enough for the hips. She suggested using pillows and adding more pillows so that your knees are elevated above the hips and I found that this worked really well for me at night as I used to wake up in agony with my hips. After adding more pillows I was in a lot less pain or no pain at all. I hope this helps 🙂

Yup, 37w Mon and I have had this on and off throughout 😬 pillow between the knees helps a bit but I just toss and turn! 😣 Not long now x

Same for me..had that pain since 29 weeks and sleeping at night it’s a nightmare!! In my case the sciatica it’s making it worse! So i usually stretch a lot, massage the full leg (better if someone can do it for you so that u can relax the muscle in between) , use a massage ball on the hip, put legs up the wall to improve circulation, take magnisium and try different positions moving pillows around plus pregnancy pillow in between of my legs…😮‍💨

Thanks for the recommendation girls! I will try them all out 🤞 Hope you are all have a lovely weekend 🥳
