@Krissy honestly it’s all so confusing 🤦🏽♀️she’s on Pepti 1 which still has lactose in it though, so now I’m even more confused 🤣🤣
Omeprazole is a PPI, that's likely the cause of the tummy ache. Lactose intolerance is totally different to cmpa. In fact most medical grade lactose won't cause a reaction. Your aptamil pepti has more dairy in it by far. Are you investigating the cause of the reflux? PPI aren't great for long term use. X
No so lactose is the sugars in milk and medical grade like omerprazle is fine but anything food grade such as food or even teething gels aren't okay as they aren't separated properly It's most likely the milk isn't the milk for your baby and would need a change
@Samantha I think I need to change her milk. However we tried Neocate when she was a few months old but she completely refused to feed and had horrendous eczema everywhere, and screamed none stop all day, so we got put back on Pepti 1. Her paediatrician basically said we have to ‘Manage her symptoms until she’s off milk’ which I don’t entirely agree with, but I’m just petrified of her refusing to feed again x
Lactose is different to cows milk protein so as they are not lactose intolerant as well as having cmpa then you should be fine
Following as our baby has this daily and it’s for her reflux and CMPA 🙈 Also teething granules contain lactose FYI. Just in case you add those to the mix like I did last week 🤦🏼♀️
