Yes, 2.5 yrs old and still demand bottles at bed time. Happy to drink milk from a cup at lunch time but scream for bottle at 6pm 🤷♀️ Twins BTW so I just have bigger battles to fight than this. Their teeth are fine according to the dentist.
Mine doesn’t but 2 kids in daycare do they are between 1-2
@Rehana 🇬🇾 I’ve tried using the sippy spout nipple but he just cries for his bottle 😭
@Lucy I worry about his teeth because he still demands bottles throughout the day. He’ll have at least 3 a day. He has a dentist appointment coming up so we’ll see what she says 😬😬
Same we're finally pushing the issue harder. We also have a 10 month old and both of them are biting through the nipple.
This may help some. We would have bottles with extremely watered down milk and all sippy cups had milk, half juice/half water. She could choose which ever she wanted and most of the time she would want the sippy cup. After about a week we just stopped offering a bottle and she never asked for it.
If he wants it bad enough, he will eventually switch to whatever you give him. You’ll just have to listen to him whine through it, unfortunately
@Sarah genius
@Sarah I tried that a year ago... It didn't work at all. My daughter gave no cares that it was diluted, to the point where it was 90% water. It eventually just got switched to just being regular milk though because of our other daughter being born and not having the energy to dilute it.
@Lisa Some kids are so set on what they want 😅 it might be a comfort item similar to a pacifer. I would go cold turkey and get rid of all the bottles and replace them with straw cups. This is what we had to do when my daughter started chewing through her pacifiers. I won't lie and it was awful for a few days and I almost went back out and bought more but we stuck to it and eventually she learned to sleep without it. We did replace it with a small stuffed animal that she now uses for comfort. We didn't last in sippy cups for long as she would chew through those nipples too. We use these and they have been great for us https://a.co/d/hAKgzsi
@Sarah it absolutely is a comfort item. She gave up the paci on her own after a few months. I don't think it will be as big of an issue with doing it with both kids at the same time. Also the older one has stopped grabbing the bottle and the whole gallon of milk and bringing it to us. She's also been working on choosing the cup for milk. So fingers crossed it'll go well!
There was no sometimes option, lol. My toddler does sometimes and we use the sippy spout nipple on the bottle. He’s able to drink from any kind of bottle, however he still holds a baby bottle sometimes to drink milk.
