Haircuts

When is a good point to get your child their first haircut? My daughter just turned 1 end of January and her hair isn’t super long but it’s very messy and it’s started getting curly in the back and I want to help her maintain her curls idk if a haircut is the way to go in terms of styling and stuff. Idk if I make any sense either 😂

I've been wondering the same thing. My daughter has curls in the back and sides, but it's straight on top and very long. It's always in her face but she pulls out her clips and hair ties when I try to use them.

My son had a mullet. It’s about time 🙃

We got my sons hair cut at 8 months cause he couldn’t see😅 we have been keeping it long cause I like the baby look but we did have to do monthly trims to maintain it and keep it from getting super tangled. He’s got some curl to it and whenever we cut it the curls look better

My son has a mullet, and it's in his eyes. He is going this month

My son was born with a full head of hair, and it started getting in his eyes when he was around six months old, so I tried trimming it myself, and it was an epic fail 😅. When he turned a year old in January, we finally caved in and booked him a real haircut appointment. I found it helpful to get some pointers from the hairstylist on what we can do with his hair and how it was naturally parting and such. I think it's totally reasonable to book an appointment for some pointers on how to maintain her circles and such! I definitely recommend seeking out a salon that's for kids. They really know how to work with kiddos, and they totally understand the parents who are looking for some guidance.

We gave my son his first hair cut at 10 months. He will be having his 3rd one today.
