Not related to the post but I wish I had bubba’s eyebrows 😩🥹 so so cute
My girl was similar for a few days and then it eased
Hahaa such strong brows! Deffo not from his momma! @Yasmin
@Jodie ok thanks. He's also crying randomly for like 10 minutes but stops now and then if we distract him. He did it once yesterday and twice today. He just seems really aggy! But with babies you never know what it is, whether they're tired or other reasons like leaps, its frustrating 🥹 We've tried all those things in the past. Had a nightmare with carobel so we might try stick it out and see what happens before adding something else into the mix. He's on omeprozole.
@Beth so true!! my boy tried a few different allergy milks before alfamino and every time he had a milk swap there would be a bit of a reaction. i love his name, btw!!
Ok well fingers crossed. Really cba with him going through all this anymore. Makes me want to just wish the weeks away until he's bigger and digestive system matures. Ahh thank you very much 🥰
Watery yellow green poo is normal I was told!
@Charlotte I was told it’s not and my girl is being referred to a dietitian because of it 😅
Oooo strange, my girl has had it for months and went to a paediatrician last week and they said it’s fine
@Lauryn every baby on allergy milk SHOULD be referred to a dietician regardless and i’ve had this confirmed to me. it’s such a shame that so many (including ours’ for a long time) don’t do their job properly and it takes more for it to happen😓 @Charlotte from what i’ve been told from both a dietician and gp, it can be normal as long as it’s not excessive and/or baby is staying adequately hydrated. however, if the consistency was extremely watery constantly (especially more so when eating solids), i definitely wouldn’t accept that answer! x
Yeah she has very liquidy poos occasionally they are explosive but she’s gaining weight perfectly and has no trouble with the formula whereas she used to throw up or have constipation for up to 5/6 days which was more worrying than it is now
(1 poo a day 2 if we are lucky x)
My baby was awful on this milk! His was so gassy to the point he was screaming in his sleep and wouldn’t take the bottle it was awful. It sadly never settled down either even with carobel and omeprazole however we think we was misdiagnosed and have gone back to cows milk today and he seems so much better and showing no symptoms other than runny stools but assuming that’s just a change in milk xx
My son is doing really well on it after trying three hydrolysed milks, but if it doesn't settle down in a couple of a weeks I'd ask for a different amino acid as he maybe reacting to the soya in it x

@Jodie my hv has put in 2 referrals so far and both have been rejected. She has put in another now and waiting to hear back 🤦🏼♀️
@Lauryn that’s so stupid? do you get given a reason for being rejected?
@Jodie each time they have just said to change her milk again. She is currently on alfamino (we tried nutramigen, pepti & althera) but she is still pooping 4-6 times a day and it’s usually really loose hence why hv has put in another referral
My first daughter did amazing on alfamino but my second girl was really upset with the milk. She had such bad trapped wind, struggled to poo and she was crying during feeds and after feeds, sick loads, it was horrible so the dietician recommended we change to Neocate and she’s been a completely different baby.. all her bad symptoms have gone x
Ok thank you @Laura he seems ok so far. I think it's coming up more as it's thin. Doesn't seem to be in pain or discomfort necessarily. The only thing that I think has been worse is his purple crying in the evenings but I can't tell if it's linked. I second guess things because I'm always trying to find reasons for everything and unsure. His crying might actually not have worsened and I'm just paranoid it has. What type of milk is Neocate?
it’s likely a reaction to the change. seedy and especially green can be quite normal! it should all improve bar the reflux/gas… sadly, that’s likely to get worse because the milk is so thin. you can get things like gaviscon for reflux and gas and/or a milk thickener called carobel that thickens the milk up a bit. you can get it on prescription (definitely ask for this rather than buying but it can be bought at a pharmacy). hope bub improves soon xx
