I only took mine until 12 weeks, all my bloods were fine throughout pregnancy. They made me gag and feel sick taking them so I stopped
I know a few moms that never ever took them and everything was always just fine 🤷🏽♀️💯
I took the gummy prenatals til 23 weeks then switched to pills! If you haven’t tried the gummies I recommend them!
I was the same way, I started taking them in the night before going to sleep and I found that very helpful
Hey, this is actually very common! Prenatals are too strong for many women, especially the iron in them. You can take folic acid and vitamin D on their own, as individual vitamins, and be absolutely fine. I would speak with your GP or midwife so they can prescribe these for you. As for your baby, your body will draw any needed nutrients from your whole body before making your baby deficient. It’s why so many women have issues with their teeth and bones etc. If you’re able to, try to keep a balanced diet to help with this, but don’t stress if it’s too difficult. And please don’t feel pressured to make yourself sick because of anything anyone tells you.
take it at night
I was taking pregnacare which was making the nausea so much worse. Now I take 4 separate tablets - folic acid, C, D3 and omega 3. I’ve also stopped my anti nausea tablets yesterday and had a much better day, not perfect but much better.
Girl I stopped taking mine for the same reason. Haven’t taken them since I was 16ish weeks (I’m not saying to be like me because you definitely should take them if you can stomach them!) and I am not 35w5d and my baby boy is showing normal and healthy in all aspects! While they are recommended highly, they are not as necessary as they are made out to be! Do not let people make you feel bad for doing what you felt was best for you and your baby! Our bodies were made for this looong before prenatals were even thought about! Now if you can stomach them again then yes absolutely take them! If not do what is right for you and that little bundle! 🩷💙
You do you girl. I quit taking mine cause they made me sick. I stayed sick though.
I had HG my whole pregnancy. I took prenatals maybe only 3/4 times. I didn’t take them the whole pregnancy and my baby was born in January. She is fine
People didn’t have vitamins like we do now and no one’s been severely affected by it. I can guarantee your mum likely never took any with you! 😂 as long as you have a healthy diet then you’ll be absolutely fine! If you live off of white bread crisps, fried food and chocolate then there might be a bit more to be said about substituting with vitamins 😂
I had really bad sickness and nausea all of my first trimester, at the time I was taking the Nature Made prenatals and my OB suggested trying the One A Day brand so I switched but no joy. My husband said to skip a couple of days to see if it was the prenatals so I did and felt a million times better. I spoke to my OB who said that sometimes the iron in prenatals can make people sick so I stopped the combined ones and just took 800mcg Folic Acid every day and haven’t had any problems since. The nurse did suggest also taking a regular multivitamin, even if it’s a child’s one, but I’ve just been taking the Folic along with low dose aspirin and I’m all good and baby is growing on track!
Hello lovely! I take a brand named Major it doesn’t taste like anything! But honestly taking prenatals are for you and not your baby. While ur pregnant ur baby takes ur nutrients so it’s just to make sure you’re able to keep yourself healthy. As long as you’re taking care of yourself nothing should be wrong!
