How old is she? Xx
How old is baby? I can’t imagine having nap times at the same time everyday but they are roughly around the same sort of time. Bed time is roughly the same time too. You could try it and just adjust the length of naps. You might find baby is napping too long and little tweaks could mean a better nights sleep.
@Bonnie sorry she’s 10months old she also goes to bed at 6:30 every night x
@Alex 10months x
@Lauryn 10months x
I wouldn’t wake her personally. Sleep is so important for so many things. Fighting illness, for her development etc and I think it’s the most valuable thing babies need more than anything. X
How many naps and how long are they?
I’d only wake if we needed to go out, we would slightly change bedtime if needed each day and when transitioning between naps we had earlier bedtimes. My little boys nap time varied anyway so if it was 45mins that would change things to if it was 2 hours. You could let her sleep in and then restrict nap length to x hours if you wanted to. But yeah, once she’s a bit older her bedtime will become more regular regardless when she wakes!! Or just adjust by 30 mins or so if needed xx
We are polar opposite to this, I let my baby wake when she wakes, however it’s roughly the same kind of time give or take 45mins generally. I feel so guilty if I do have to wake her earlier than she wants to be. I can’t imagine having set nap times though, as depending on what we’ve done on the day will affect how tired she is and at what times. I wait for her tired cues and I’m led by that. For me personally this is less stressful than fighting her to go to sleep when she’s not ready, and being tied to a set routine. I think you’d be surprised at how well your baby will adjust to change and she may even sleep better if she’s let to have the sleep she wants. Remember as well they go through leaps, so sometimes she’ll need more sleep than other days xx
I would carry on as you are
@Lauryn 2 naps First one 9:15 - 1 hour Second nap - 1:15 2hours Bedtime 6:30 xx
@Hannah everyday would be different then? Naps and bedtime would be?
You need to let the baby sleep as they need and let them lead and make their own schedule according to their needs. We are not raising little soldiers.
A baby is adjusting every month with their changes. I would suggest being more flexible and adjust to her needs. Everyday is a different day. Some days my son sleeps more and some days he doesn’t. I noticed this happens with milestones. Teething affects their sleep A LOT.

Is this also your only child? I would say that makes a difference too
I’ve never woken my little one in the morning unless we’ve had to be somewhere at a specific time, we follow wake windows so the windows adjust to whatever time he wakes. Naps/bedtime vary but he is always in bed before 9.
I'd let baby sleep, but if it gives you peace, consistency, allows you to schedule your day, and baby still gets enough sleep overall, it's ok to wake her. I think you'll find her nap times and bedtimes are going to start changing pretty soon on their own no matter what you do. She'll drop down to one nap and bedtime will go later. Maybe her 1 nap will get longer... Do you really need to control bedtime that much? If it feels like it has too much power over you, really ask yourself why. Also, are there other strategies or things you can do when you feel anxious? A lot of times, it's just a feeling we need to ride out for a few minutes. Fold a load of laundry, and if you still feel like waking up the baby, give yourself permission to do so without the guilt.
I let my baby (11 months) wake up when she wakes up naturally. Her naps vary but her bedtime is always around the same time! I don't find the bedtime changes at all, just naps vary a bit. But we just work around it!
Personally I lead by my baby, the nap times may vary a little but we always put down to bed between 6.30-7.30 no matter what time the naps are. I just ensure the final wake window is atleast 3.5 hours. Your baby's nap schedule will change as they grow anyways. Maybe trial for 1 day? X
