suppositories

hey babes, i have a very constipated 7 month old and i consulted with her pediatrician and they told me about pedia-lax. i’ve done some research and it looks like it’s only safe for children 2 years and up. since she mentioned to use that first before coming to be seen, it should be safe, right? has anyone used this before?

I’ve used it!!! It works sometimes, sometimes it doesn’t - I always find prune juice to work really well too!

I’ve used it many times on both of my children before the age of 2. If you use the liquid one just insert it a little into their bottom. Usually works within 15 minutes. I have started using constipation ease from mommy’s bliss daily and it has helped a ton. And I rarely have to use the suppositories

I was told it was ok when we needed to do one!!! They have to say to contact your doctor under 2 I think

The pharmacist and pediatrician said only use half

I work in a Peds office and we like to tell our patients to use 1 cap full of karo syrup (you can put it in their bottle). It helped my baby boy when he was constipated 🥹 or you can try prunes if your baby is eating purées! I hope your baby feels better soon!!

Prune juice was a lifesaver for my first. We used it anytime she was constipated and it worked great.

Just half of it! I used it twice and it worked. Now I’m trying prive juices or prune puree. Also avocados and sweet potatoes. For my baby bananas make him constipated. Hopefully he will feel better soon!
