Perfect prep/rapid cool or others?

We’re combination feeding using ready to feed formula for convenience but now looking to switch to just formula soon so need to move to powder. Is the perfect prep/rapid cool worth getting? Or a waste of money? Willing to pay for something that will make my life easier. Never made formula bottles so not sure how much it helps?

I use the rapid cool for every bottle using the hot shot method - bottle made in less than 2 mins :)

I use tommee tippee perfect pre machine and it’s 10000% worth it. Id get one downstairs too if I had the money😂

I would go for the rapid cool. The perfect prep machine isn’t recommended by the NHS and there’s been reports of them making babies ill due to the hot shot not reaching the necessary temperature to kill the bacteria in the formula. Look up the hot shot method using the Nuby rapid cool - we have been formula feeding since birth and this has been the easiest/safest way for us☺️

@Courtney same

I use both because I'm all about convenience 😂 We have a prep machine downstairs which I use during the day and then I have the rapid cools for out and about and night feeds. I know there's a lot of horror stories around prep machines but I change the filter and descale it regularly and we've never had a problem 😊

We started using the prep machine as had it with my first but my baby was so uncomfortable after every feed, we swapped over to the rapid cool and he’s a different baby. So yeah we’ve tried both and the rapid cool is the winner for us x

@Gabbii @Anna do you have to wash and sterilise the flask between feeds for the rapid cool?

Only if you put the formula into the flask, I try and do the hot shot method so only water is going into the flask x

I was sterilising the rapid cools everytime until about 2 weeks ago when I realised I could just do the hot shot method. So much better! 😊
