Hey, a lot of young children show traits of autism which they may grow out of. Even as adults we stim (we may not realise we do it) but it is usually used to regulate ourselves. Headbanging my lg does this too, they could be laughing over the noise or the reaction they get from us with it, getting our attention is definitely a fun game for them 🤣 Food is definitely normal around this age something they love one day they will hate the next (typical when we think we’ve nailed making their favourite foods). As for tantrums at this age until they are old enough to explain their emotions the only way they are able to share their emotions is by having a tantrum. Even if bubba is in the future diagnosed with autism it is definitely not the end of the world (everyone is slightly autistic) and actually it’s what shapes them into being the human they are meant to be. Autism isn’t a bad thing a lot of people go undiagnosed until adult life ☺️ x
Yes. I am seeing a difference in my little boy. I think you should trust your gut. My boy, he can spend hours just looking at wheels and doesn’t play with his toys in many other ways than spinning them and throwing them. Obvs kids do things like that but the cause of concern with my son is how frequent he’s doing these things, along with other things. I don’t believe that everyone is slightly autistic x
I don’t mean to sound negative but there is so much scaremongering about everything being autism! I’m yet to meet a 1 year old who doesn’t crash about, laugh over nothing, eat fussily at times and have tantrums. I hope he isn’t and of course get him seen if you’re worried, but I find there is a lot of autism scaremongering on here (I don’t mean this post- you’re asking a question for the sake of your little boy!)
