Stomach pain/ache
Hiya, for about 5 days now I’ve had real bad stomach pain in my stomach under my ribs to just above my belly button that comes and goes, sometimes lasting a hour sometimes lasting 10 minutes and back pain along with feeling sick. I originally thought i had a bad stomach but I no longer think this is the case. (I called the mid-wife unit and they said paracetamol) has anyone else had this? X

Push your midwives to give you a full check over including bloods. I don’t want to scare you but I had HELLP syndrome with my first pregnancy and I dismissed it as stomach ache/indigestion for a week before it became unbearable and I went to A&E and they diagnosed me. My pain was under my ribs and round my back and it was the only symptom I had until they ran a liver function blood test x
@Charlotte they’ve done bloods and I have to go back for a liver scan soon. How did they treat HELLP through your pregnancy? X

Yes… i had this bad bad stomachache for a week. As you said, I first thought I had eaten something bad. No really vomiting or diarrhoea , just pain like cramps. Would get better in the day if I rested but coming back in the evening. I know it is unbearable certain days. I took buscopan and that helped me. Didn’t help my partner much when he also eventually got it . It just need to do his course. I’m sorry if feel like that, it’s a nasty one.
