I've personally never suffered from this, so never know you may be alright. Although I've heard there's some products out there that have helped women with their pp hairloss. Like hair syrup the brand
Not related to breastfeeding. Happens around 4 months. Nothing will help...you didn't lose hair during your pregnancy and you're just losing the hair you would have lost during those 9 months. It sucks just ride it out
When you're pregnant, a certain hormone (sorry don't remember which) slows down or even stops the normal cycle of hair falling out and getting replaced. That's why it looks so thick during pregnancy. After birth, all those hairs that normally would have fallen out gradually are now overdue and drop at about the same time.
I think it’s most common starting around 3-4 months post partum and then through the first year. I’ve read about 75% of women will experience some hair loss after birth. I don’t believe it’s related to breastfeeding, I’ve just never seen that mentioned.
