I’m also 12 months PP and I’ve been going to pelvic floor physio since I was pregnant. The big thing is getting my core muscles back to help strengthen my back. She has worked on my pelvic floor (too tight), wrist(mom thumb) and my back. Has also provided me workouts and stretches to do at home.
@Patricia I'm awaiting my referral too, I saw the practice physio but it's not her speciality! She checked for a diastasis recti and she said there was possibly a slight one! This was an emergency C-section so I had no idea what to expect but it wasn't this 😂
@Jenn are you finding the exercises help? My mother's thumb seems to have eased off a bit now! As my little boy is getting heavier my stomach and back is just getting worse and worse
Yes it does help! Even just moving helps a lot with my back. It’s a slow process and you have to be consistent. I’ve really only been super consistent the past couple of months. I like getting acupuncture or dry needling done. It helps a lot with the pain. I still have a lot of weight that needs to come off but I’m taking it one day at a time. I want to be the best version of myself for my kid.
@Jenn moving does help my back a bit but then my stomach muscles hurt and my knees are shot 😂 im excited to get started with some exercises because I'm the same as you, I just want to be the best for my son
4 months PP and waiting for my referral to come through because of pain, 4 fingers diastasis recti and a possible hernia, didn't have any issues with my first section but this section has really ruined my body
