Rolling in their sleep..

Anyone else’s 6m old roll onto their front while asleep? But also bang there head on the cot? My LO is in her own room and loves sleeping on her front. (We always put her to sleep on her back) Sometimes she rolls and bangs her head on the bars, anyone else do this? Did you just position them diagonally? (She’s in a sleeping bag, not swaddled, feet at bottom of cot) We were worried when she rolled on her front but she does roll back in day here and there & cries out if she can’t get back at night.

Yes! All the time, if they can roll themselves there they are ok to sleep on their front. Bathing their head can’t really be helped and usually (surprisingly!) my little one always slept through it so I wouldn’t worry too much x

We put our 6m old in her cot for the first time last night and the same thing happened she woke at 1:30 rolled onto her tummy and cried and same again at 6am which is ok as we got up then! But she doesn’t seem to roll herself back in her cot and can’t settle her head as she’s never fallen asleep on her front, might just take time🙈x

Ah amazing, glad to hear it’s not just my LO. My LO is also 6m this week and we moved her a week ago. She’s never slept in her front but does seem to sleep better and more contently! We are yet to see her roll back in cot but as you said @Elle she does cry out and moves her head. Thank you for the reassurance @Izzie means a lot!d

Mine does the same! I was worried at first as she would cry as she couldn't get back but last night she did it again and fell asleep like that, she looked fine and could breathe fine as her head was tilted so I just left her there 😃

@Hannah hey!! How many nights did it roughly take until she settled herself? X

@Elle I would say about 4 😃xx
