There should be an expiration date on your exemption certificate, mine ends a few days before my son is one and I was under the impression it was until they are one x

I think it's 12 months after your due date not when they were actually born but the expiry date should be on your exemption certificate

Thanks all, just checked my certificate and it says 2nd May, so I'll inform the dentist x

Until your baby turns one but it’s only accepted if you’re an NHS patient. We’ve not been able to find a dentist that has NHS spaces so have been paying private the last few years and went to book a check up before it runs out in April and was told they won’t accept it x

If you are an NHS patient, it should be free till your certificate expires. You should fill out an online form or a PR form (orange form)in the practice where you can chose that you have an exemption as had a baby within 12 months, and add the exemption number. (I’m a dental nurse)
