Such a good response ☝️
I think what Rhiann has posted is really helpful. We have a baby monitor with a breathing sensor pad which really helps ease my anxiety. Have you got anything like that? X
This is so true with algorithms. Mines full of mums pumping huge amounts of milk when I’m struggling so much with milk supply and very little milk when expressing. The more I engage the more videos appear and the rose I feel about it all. I’m trying to limit social media as it’s just having a negative impact on my mental health and it sounds like it is for you too. Like the above responses have said it so rare and all you can do is follow sensible precautions which I’m sure you are. It terrifies me too but I have to try put it out of my mind
Great response @Rhiann 🤍
Rates are so low these days because we all know more about safe sleep and general health and safety. Remember how the social media algorithms work: the more you watch vids on a topic, the more it’ll show you. Stop watching and try to put it out of your mind. I can’t remember the exact statistic, but a good chunk of SIDS these days is linked to smoking while pregnant (a third perhaps?) and the majority of the remainder are people letting baby sleep on a sofa etc. Try rationalise as much as you can and if it comes up on social media keep scrolling without watching! If you think it may be linked to MH/generalised anxiety, speak to a doctor ❤️
