Advise needed - anembryonic pregnancy

*sorry for the long explanation- So last year I had anembryonic pregnancy where I got to 10weeks and the baby had gone but the sac was still growing so I had to go in for a d&c and it didn’t happen naturally. It was sent off to be analysed after to which the results came back as there was no abnormalities it was just unfortunate. I’m now 38 and have just found out I’m pregnant which I’m over the moon about but at the same time I’m so scared the same thing is going to happen, this is my last chance to try as my partner is in his 40’s and doesn’t want to be having anymore. I went through 4 years of IVF where I was told I would never conceive naturally and here I am will already a little girl who’s just about to turn 5 and now pregnant with this little miracle. What I want to know is there anyone out there who has had an anembryonic pregnancy and then gone on to have a normal pregnancy after? Xx

I did and then conceived my now almost 5 month old 2 months after my D&C xx

@Emma I do know someone who this happened to last year, initially they assumed she had got her dates wrong and that’s why they couldn’t see anything in the Sac, they told her to wait 2 more weeks to re scan and when they did realised the sac had grown but still no baby. Like you she had to have a D&C. She is now expecting and is due in May, everything with her pregnancy has been normal, although she had it rough the first few weeks with sickness. So I think you should be ok, but totally understand your concern. Congratulations by the way.

@Rashelle thank you so much for your reply this has given me some hope, I’m 38 so age isn’t on my side but they have got me in to be scanned at 6 weeks to make sure everything is in the right place but it’s all a waiting game and just trying to keep myself busy and not thing about it all but it’s so hard lol. Just want to know everything is ok and I can then relax and enjoy. Xxx

@Jessica thank you for you reply, mine happened last June and only now caught but I’m 38 so just hoping this time round it’s all ok for me. So happy to hear you got your little one, this gives me hope xx
