How many feeds/oz a day (exclusively formula)

Those of you who feed every 4 hours, how are you fitting in 5 feeds a day? That probably sounds like a ridiculous question but my little boy has his first feed of the day between 5:30am and 6am and we aim for bedtime around 7:30/8pm. Our rough routine is a 7oz bottle at 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm and then it would be bedtime around 7:30. We were feeding every three hours but he was spitting up a ridiculous amount and was clearly not hungry enough so we’ve pushed it back to every 4 hours. He’s on 7oz and if we’re only managing 4 feeds in 24 hours that’s only 28oz which doesn’t feel like enough. I don’t think k he’s ready to up his feed to 8oz so unsure on what to do😕

We tend to do a dream feed at 10

How's his weight gain? If his weight is increasing ok and he's not dropping it should be fine. All babies take different amounts and I wouldn't say there's a perfect amount. I think the typical range is 24-32oz for this age, if he seems to take his calories in a higher volume and less bottles he is probably just more of an efficient drinker. I don't even count my babies I just go by weight gain and if he's hungry or not 😊 if you're concerned you could speak to the feeding team or HV x

We have 4 X 8oz bottles in a 24 hour period 🥰 Approx - 8,12,4,8

Our LG is offered 7oz 4hrly in 4 bottles. I spoke to the HV about offering a dream feed fifth feed and she said if she's not waking for it, she's full from the 4 feeds so not to worry as she's gaining weight and not every baby eats what the guidelines and formula boxes say they need x

mine is exclusively bottle fed expressed breast milk and he has 5oz bottles and a 7oz before bed. he typically has 6 bottles in a 24hour period but each day varies. he’s also 15lbs and on the 50th percentile xx

My bigger twins has 5oz 3hrly. Generally wakes about 6.30am last feed 9.30 pm and has 1 night feed Smaller twin has 4oz 2 hourly. Wakes up and goes to bed about the same time but doesn’t have a night feed. He’s also recently been diagnosed cmpa and has had slow growth with dropping centile so is now playing catch up on the weight front

My daughter has 4x 6oz bottles every 3 hours and then 7oz at bedtime
