My daughter just turned 14. Best advice I can give is to keep an eye on the friends they are hanging out with. They get influenced so easily during these years. Also keep a watch on their mental health. My daughter became an emotional rollercoaster after being bullied and worried me for a while.

I don’t have a teenage kid but I’m a substitute teacher so I spend a lot of time around them lol the biggest advice I can give to any parent with teenage/rpe-teens is to be open minded and patient with them. Build trust and a strong communication system. Being open and transparent with your kids. . Focus on building their confidence in being a better version of themselves so they’re not easily influence by the world and less chances of them going through depression and dark times at an early age. Honestly just being present and building a strong relationship with them helps alot

Communication is the key, let them know you're always there for them no matter what n they can always count on you.
