Post c section check

I never got one. When my son got his 8 week jags i had a few questions asked of how i was/contraceptions/mental health etc but it was short and sweet. Never had my wound checked since i was discharged from midwives 🙈

Never got one from docs, only midwives, and was told at 8 week check for baby I wasn’t allowed to ask about myself and the appointment was only for the baby🙈 I’d make a separate appointment if you’re concerned x

Nearly 13 months PP from emergency c section and still waiting for my check up lol

It’s generally not really a thing that happens unless you specifically request it. Midwife has basic chat but unless u make an appointment at gp for one it won’t happen

I had to book it myself with my GP, they don't contact you.

Thanks ladies it was mainly just to get the all clear to start exercising again but I'm not sure what advice they would give

Yes both times I got a letter in the post to book an appointment x

I was told I had to book it myself, I had one and the doctor looked at my scar and didn’t ask me anything really. Waste of time x

You have to book it yourself, they don't ring you. Better to ring earlier rather than later too, I rang to book it about 4.5 weeks and they couldn't see me till 8 weeks

You have to contact them and i did for the same reason but they just told me technically i should be healed and to see how i go. No wound check no other physical assessment. If you are keen you are better researching a womens physio to do an actual assessment
