C section

How long did everyone wait before getting pregnant after c section? We are right at a year and I feel I’m ready to try again but not sure if I need to give my body more time to heal.

I was advised 18 months by OB after care section, I've heard others being advised the same.

I would ask you OB

I had an emergency c-section in 2023 and because of my age (I was 39 last year), we decided to start trying after my daughter turned 1 and we were successful in 1 go. I'm currently 33.5 weeks pregnant and so far the pregnancy is going great. I was advised to have a planned c-section this time around also but we have set a date at closer to 40 weeks so that if I go into spontaneous labour before that, I'm going to attempt a vbac. My midwife and OB both are supportive of this plan.

Had an emergency c section Feb 2023. Pregnant by the October we have a 17 month age gap. Opted for elective second time round. Everything was fine during and after the pregnancy x

Typically the advice is 18-24 months before another pregnancy as the risk of uterine rupture is higher in that time.

My OB advised me to wait 2 years! She said you can before but the body is totally ready after at least one and half year!! And even better conditions 2 years later! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I waited till 16-17 months (I'm now pregnant at 17 months though) we thought it would take longer lol.... Dr's advise 18 months

I fell pregnant 7 months pp. They suggest you wait 18 months from C-section- birth. So 9 months pp minimum and then 9 months pregnancy. Obviously the longer the better.

Was advised to wait 12-18 months. My daughter will be 1 in 2 weeks so we have started trying again 🤣🤣

I was advised 18 months from my midwives x

It's been 3 years and I'm pregnant again and going to have another c section 🙃

I was told 18 months between births. We started trying at 14 months, got pregnant right away and I gave birth 3 days after my son's 2nd birthday with no issues the entire pregnancy. My best friend got pregnant at 9months and had no issues as well

The minimum is 18 months but some may have to wait longer. I'm 18mo pp and my physio has advised me against getting pregnant again yet.

18 months between deliveries (not pregnancies). You’re good to go whenever you’re ready. I plan on trying right when baby is 9-10 months (we had fertility issues so I’m sure it’ll take awhile).

I got pregnant 18 months after my first born. And my dr advised me that it was safer for myself and the baby to do a repeat c section. The risk of tolac was too risky and I didn’t want to take that chance. If I were to do it again I would wait 3-4 years or so definitely not under 1year. So that my incision can fully heal.

Started trying 6 month pp and caught 9 months pp with second and with third we started trying about 18 months pp and caught 20 months pp. xo

@Alana I just read your comment, and just wanted to say the reason I fell pregnant at 7months pp is because I had fertility problems with my first and expected it to be the same with my second. So keep that in mind 🥲😂
