Milk

I’m not too sure if it may have changed but we picked our prescription up today and it still looked like the right hand one x

@Aimee i've checked all the ingredients on the back and they seem to be the same but im just worried incase he acts different because he really doesn't agree with cows milk! His dads giving him a bottle now so i hope he's okay xxx

I spoke to my pharmacist about this. The purple lids are imported from Europe. Where as gold lids are uk factory made. The purple lids are cheaper for pharmacies to purchase but have had a lot of back lash regarding babies reacting to the purple lids. You can speak to GP,Paeds and they can put a special note on your prescription to state gold lid only. That’s what I done.

Ohhhh I received the last prescription with purple lid I just thought it's changed package, didn't realise the purple are imported. @ Rachel what sort of back lash did you read from the purple lid??

@Sharon it was the pharmacist local to me says they and many other pharmacy’s in the community had an influx in complaints from parents of their CMPA babies reacting to the purple lids. This is when they explained they were imported from Europe and cheaper for pharmaceuticals to purchase. Because mine was great on gold lids but I received purple lids on this specific occasion I questioned it all out with the pharmacist. We only receive gold lids now because purple lids brought back all the reflux symptoms for us and was completely inconsolable until back on gold lids. The purple lid took maybe 3 days to start reacting and took nearly 7 days to get back to normal on gold. Im also on a Facebook page for CMPA parents which my HV recommended although not ran by NHS officials and I’d say a good 70% of parents with kids on neocate flooded the chats with reactions to purple lids posts.

@Rachel i thought it would have been a cheaper version, typical nhs! we have nothing but problems trying to get the milk and his gaviscon its a pain. What type of backlash did you get with the purple lid? xx

He's only had one bottle with the purple lid but we have a baby breza machine and i mixed it with the gold tin milk so im not certain he's had the purple lid, i think ill make a bottle up in the morning with the purple lid and see if theres a difference xx

Yes there’s a sticker on ours that says same formula different packaging
