@Ashley I didn’t dilate at all last time is what I mean
I didn’t go into labour at all last time (had a c section due to pre eclampsia), I’m choosing another section this time as it’s what I’d prefer. I’ve been told it would be the same as me labouring for the first time though if i did want to attempt a vbac
My labour stalled last time and I'm attempting vbac this time. I dilated but didn't get to 10cm.
First labour stalled at 4cm and second labour stalled at 7cm so both c sections x
I dilated to 6 cm for first born. But didn’t progress further. I had a vbac 2 weeks ago.
Sorry I’m talking about not dilating at all, not even 1cm
So I did have a successful VBAC, but my c-section wasn't for the reason you're describing. What I did, and you could probably choose to do: i knew i wanted a VBAC but I also knew i didn't want to be induced. So i set a day for my c-section (it was on the calendar with the surgery team and everything) and just hoped i went into labor sooner. I did end up going into labor a week before my scheduled c-section, so i was able to have my VBAC. Thats how I would do it if I were in your position! No stress, just letting things happen if they happen. And if not, then c-section you already know what to expect!
@Grace when did you book your section for?
@Aimee so my due date was October 15th but I scheduled my section for October 17th! She ended up coming October 9th!
@Aimee I was induced so I never dilated naturally
@Ashley yeah I was induced and didn’t dilate
I had an emergency c section with my first after being in labour 36 hours and only dilated to 9cms I had a vbac with my second my waters broke and I got to the hospital within 20 minutes and I was fully dilated and started pushing I had baby in emergency didn’t even make it to the maternity ward!
