Technically it can be done at any age but I feel like the longer you wait the harder healing would be
Please don't do it, it's totally unnecessary.
I think you still have plenty of time because you can get it done at any age The sooner the better We got our son circumcised the day after I let my husband choose because he had a discussion with his doctor about how fore skin can cause problems later down the line. Especially the fact that he has more experience on that and the problem he been having with his foreskin. He’s planning to get his done so he thought it would be best if our son got his private circumcise.
The sooner, the better!! I personally wouldn't do it at all. I had it done to my son and regretted it. His father pressured me into it. I do believe it's an outdated barbaric practice. IF you must try to get it done ASAP
@Ella at the appointment we had before he needs it done for medical reasons
@Shatoria it's for a medical reason from the appointment that we had with them and they did say that it needs to be done , I would day why but I don't really think I should but I let my hubby pick if we should or should due to him having the part, and after the conversation we had with the person who gunna do it last month he said it should be done and that it was a medical reason for it
@Victoria I was told by my friend there a limit since her son couldn't due to his age
I wouldn't panic. There isn't a cut off age. I would just do it as soon as you can. I know someone who had it done at 12.
@Zainab🗝️ thank you 😊
You've said in your comments it's for a medical reason so I'm sure they are going to prioritize the appointment for him. Wishing your little one speedy healing.
Adults can have this procedure done too! I will say I regret having it done for my son. The healing process was slow and terrible! He would cry in his sleep it was so painful. They don’t give them pain relief unless you demand it. And you have to be very hands on with the care or it won’t heal correctly. I wish I had let him make the choice to alter his body. Not judging because I also made the same choice, this was just my takeaway from our experience
@Clara it is for a medical reason they noticed at the appointment before get had it schedule now I have to wait longer for it to be done
@Ella why do you personally feel it’s unnecessary? I reduces the risk of many health issues. Severe utis, general infections, etc.. I know men in their 30s getting circumcised because of the plethora of issues it comes with to leave it.
Sooner the better but don’t panic. I’m sure they’ll get you in soon enough

@Taylor this is misinformation because America is weirdly circumcision obsessed. The rate of uti in men is extremely low. The rest of the world, most of it doesn't circumcise and the rate of men needing it done in adulthood for a legitimate reason is extremely low. It is actual genital mutilation and the tiny tiny risks with not getting it done do NOT justify its widespread usage in America.
@Ella he needs one , the Consultation we had last month doctor said he would need one due to x reasons ( I really don't want to say what it is but will if I need to ) that it be better to do it sooner then later
I had a friend who had his done in college! He was in a lot of pain and discomfort but it was still worth it for him. So there really isn’t a cutoff, just I think maybe once they become more mobile, it might be more uncomfortable and painful.
@Ella my ex bf and a male friend got one as an adult due to have so many problems with it growing up and my ex ended up giving me yeast infections everything we fucked , even when he cleaned it right he got problems with nit being cut and finally said fuck it and got it done just like my friend and he did it mainly for the looks but did need one for medical reasons if he didn't need it for medical reasons he probably will still be thinking about it and asking me what do I like a guy to be cut or uncut I don't care if so or not along as they don't have a medical reasons to get cut
@Kaitlyn I just want to make sure since Mt friend couldn't get her son done after a point 🤷♀️ idk why nor does she other then she had teated positive for covid when she gave brith to him a few years ago
@Ella are you also an antivaxxer? My mom works for doctors and they have mentioned to abundance of men they treat weekly with severe infections. The studies done prove the importance of the procedure are facts. So i don’t know where you’re getting your info from but it’s incorrect.
@incognito I feel like that may be the doctor’s own rules at their practice. Maybe they just don’t feel comfortable doing that after a certain age or not qualified with bigger babies? I really don’t know. Maybe it’s best to ask your doctor if they have an age limit on when they will do it?
@Taylor no im not. Maybe American men are dirty? You can google information about the incidence of uti in men, it's not a secret. But I promise you it's not a problem elsewhere in the world. Loving cutting baby penises is an American thing. It's so ingrained in your culture, you lot find it insulting when someone questions it. It's very odd...for the rest of the world...to witness.
@Kaitlyn his getting it done when his 6 month old now since it's next month on the 30th
My 4th son still doesn't have his done. But will in May. He has a contortion too. So they are fixing that and circumcision at the same time. But he will have to be put to sleep for it. He will be about 7 months then. So, I would contact your Dr and see what the options are. There are ways of doing it still. It's just easier when they are alot younger.
