Chicken Pox

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows the answer to my chickenpox question (can’t find the answer on google!) My children currently have chickenpox. My mum has kindly offered to watch the children so I can go to work tomorrow. Both me and my mum have had chickenpox before. However, can we still pass it onto other people even though we’ve had it?

No you can’t carry chickenpox if you’ve already had it.

Perfect, thank you!

I’ve had chicken pox twice. My sister had and then I was 16 and had it again :(

@Julia I think once is bad enough 😬!!

If you're immono compromised you can catch it but usually if you've have it already you'd had to be in direct contact to get the risk of shingles (chicken pox when you've already had it). I had chicken pox at 6 weeks old and then again when I was 10. Shingles is horrible!!!

@Helen I read somewhere that you have to be over 1 years old to become immune! My littlest is 16 months so hopefully he will be immune now 🙏🏼
