New to weaning

I'm a bit late to the weaning game as I was away on holiday and didn't want to start until I'm back home. So my LG is 6months and had her first puree (sweet potato & breastmilk) yesterday. I'm unsure whether to feed her before or after her milk feed???? Yesterday at noon I fed her after her milk feed, she didn't eat much and then in the evening I fed her before her milk and ate alot and also drank alot. So I'm a bit confused on what to do, is it before milk feed that's better?

I had to have a little play around with timings to see what worked best but I found at the start whilst she was still drinking her amount of normal milk that it worked best if I fed her an hour before she was due her milk! It seemed like she was then hungry enough that she’d eat the food that way! When I tried after she just didn’t seem interested x

I was told milk before food, about 30 minutes to an hour later you give food. They only need 1 meal at 6 months a day. It's getting them used to moving food around their mouth. Food isn't for nutrition really at 6 months. Mines 10 months and I've only started doing food before milk for one meal. When she's 11 months it will be two meals.
